The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) did some good deeds in the past, and we have had many heroes who were members of that party. However, a significant portion later left it—for example, Andranik in 1908, when he saw how willingly the ARF was supporting the Young Turks (just as, 110 years later in 2018, they diligently supported the modern-day “Young Turks”). Nzhdeh, of course, also left in 1937, when he saw what a mistaken and anti-national political stance the ARF had adopted, at a time when, in his words, “nation-destroying Marxism and racial ideology are locked in a struggle of life and death, and the world and mankind are being reshaped” (he wrote this in the newspaper "Razmik" in 1943). For that reason, Nzhdeh left the ARF and joined the rising nationalist and anti-communist movements in Europe.

Many other examples could be cited, but when we examine the ARF’s overall activity, we will see that it has caused more harm than benefit to the Armenian nation—especially over the last 35 years, during which we have had de jure independence. In the United States and Europe, the ARF effectively, whether indirectly or directly, promotes liberal and anti-national values. A vivid example of this is how the “Armenian Youth Federation” (AYF), founded by Nzhdeh in America, has turned into a despicable organization that simply advances the Jews agenda. And in Armenia, of course, aside from serving Kremlin interests, it has done little else; and its hand has been deeply involved, together with the current traitorous authorities, in the betrayal of Artsakh. If Andranik and Nzhdeh saw a hundred years ago how corrupt that party was, imagine what they would think now. They would reach the same conclusion we have reached—that the ARF is not only anti-national, but also treacherous and anti-Armenian.

Therefore, the national state we envision and dream of—one that will be built in the future—will be obliged to cleanse Armenia and cast into the dustbin of history all parties and sects, and, undoubtedly, the ARF will not be excluded from that target...

“The ARF, due to the vagueness of its worldview, its political ignorance, and its lack of a sense of responsibility, has become and continues to remain a destructive and ruinous force…. The ARF, as well as its political opponents—the Hunchaks and the Ramgavars—indirectly encourage the assimilation of Armenians, particularly its younger generation… For so-called patriotic propaganda, the ARF has done nothing. It had no time. It was busy with the ungrateful task of blackening Andranik’s name. In order to discredit Andranik, a nearly 1,000-page, two-volume work directed against him was published at the ARF’s behest.” — Nzhdeh, 1947
