On the occasion of Andranik’s 161st birthday, we remember that he was not only a freedom fighter and a commander of freedom fighters, but also a symbol of the Armenian liberation struggle. Andranik was a man who never doubted the potential of our nation—fully aware that when the Armenian people are united and armed, they become invincible. He showed what the Armenian people are capable of when, instead of thinking about personal interests, they think about the interests of the entire nation and homeland.

In those turbulent times, Andranik remained always unbroken because he had a very simple philosophy: land and water are defended only by the spear and the sword. Our Commander saw that by turning the "paper spoon" into an "iron spoon", the Armenian nation would be able to fight for its rights and independence, for the weak are always pitied in vain, while the strong are always reckoned with.

The time has come to write a new history with Andranik’s spirit and the strength of our arms, a history where only the trumpet of our victory sounds.
