Many, following me, I am sure, will think: why do I continue my activity in the political field with such limited resources, when my success at this moment would seem “impossible” to the majority? It is completely understandable that people would think this way. However, I believe that a small movement built on truth and unbreakable willpower will, in the long run, achieve greater success than large and hollow movements built solely on lies and money, because in the end, it is truth that eventually triumphs.

I believe this because speaking the truth is not only a virtue — there is also a hidden power within it, which many underestimate, assuming that truth and politics have nothing to do with each other. Yet this is in fact a mistaken and destructive approach for any political movement. A political movement built on lies resembles a marriage built on falsehoods. Therefore, an honest and serious politician — especially a political leader who wishes to show his people the correct path — must not only value the truth, but make it a necessity, regardless of how bitter, unpopular, or politically incorrect that truth may be at the present moment. We can even assert that speaking the truth is a duty for every conscious and honorable person.

Truth — and the truthful path in general — is only one, just as in mathematics there may be many wrong answers but only one correct answer. I also believe that the path our movement is taking is precisely that one true path — that one eternal road — because for us, truth is the highest value. I have emphasized before and will emphasize again: there is no other way but ours. There is only one true and eternal path, and that is the path of “Hosank.” I believe this so strongly that in my life, without having any “Plan B,” I continue along this road, sacrificing my personal life and career. Even if I tried, I could not devote myself to anything else. Without such faith and willingness to take risks, we can never bring truth to victory.

When I returned from the war and founded our movement, I gave my word that I would preach only the truth, attempting to unite Armenian nationalists around that truth — regardless of how difficult the task would be and how enormous such responsibility might prove. I told myself that even if there were only a one percent chance of success, I would take that step, because apart from the path of truth, all other paths for me are roads to destruction. Ultimately, we are in this struggle because, beyond being nationalists, we cannot be anything else, and beyond fighting, we cannot do anything else. When viewed this way, skepticism and all doubts dissolve for us. That is why we must continue this struggle without looking at how slow or fast our progress may be, or how long it may take to achieve success.

We do what must be done because no one else will do it, and we walk this true and eternal path because no one else will walk it in our place, nor can they. We are not merely building a political movement; by shaping history, we are becoming an important part of an eternal process — a process that in the long run will bring development to our nation, prosperity to the Fatherland, and glorious victory to our State.
