When I’ve told many people that I’ve founded and am leading a political movement from scratch with my very limited resources, which aims to come to power through legal means by 2033, many have said or thought (especially those with short-sighted perspectives) that it’s impossible, absurd even, because we’re competing against large political forces with a hundred times or perhaps even more resources than us at this moment. They believe our movement is destined to fail because it currently lacks significant resources.
However, they fail to consider a very important fact: we possess something far more crucial for long-term success than having abundant resources at present. That is a firm ideology and unwavering dedication — qualities that those resource-rich political forces utterly lack. A newly established young movement with a solid ideological foundation can, over time, through persistent and steadfast struggle, accumulate resources and grow significantly. The reverse, however, is not true: a movement that is ideologically empty but resource-rich cannot, over the years, "acquire" a great ideology, no matter how much its resources increase throughout the years.
History has shown us, especially over the past 30 years in our country, that such movements are not only doomed to fail but are also bound to collapse. These movements are like a house of cards that crumble at the slightest touch. Therefore, from now on, when you hear about a newly founded movement, instead of focusing on its current resources, pay attention to its ideology and the persistence and devotion of its leader and members. Only through this lens can you determine whether that movement can genuinely benefit the nation in the long run or not. Only then will it become clear whether that movement truly has a future, whether it is destined to make history or be cast into the dustbin of history.
