In the last 15 years, many of us have spoken about Nzhdeh, quoted his words, made speeches and toasts in his honor, and expressed countless praises about him. However, I believe only a very small percentage truly understands Nzhdeh's real essence and recognizes his unique significance in modern Armenian history. Most people have a superficial understanding of who Nzhdeh truly was. By constantly glorifying his image, many think of him as a saintly demigod or a superhuman. Yet, the most remarkable thing about him is that he was merely a man who could not perform miracles, even though he was sent by higher powers and a divine will worked through him.

He was not a hero riding a white horse with a magic wand, as some imagine him. No matter how much we love, respect, and honor our prophet Commander, we must understand that he didn’t just appear out of nowhere to save Syunik, and thereby our Fatherland. He achieved all this and succeeded only through tireless effort, sacrifices, and a well-organized, consistent military and political struggle over the years. He went from village to village, turning ordinary farmers and workers into soldiers and uniting them.

Nzhdeh showed us what an Aryan man can achieve when he possesses an unbreakable iron will and unwavering faith. This is the main reason why Nzhdeh is not just a hero or an exemplary military and political figure for us, but also a measure of greatness. He played an extraordinary role not only in the sacred cause of saving our Fatherland, but also in serving the cosmic life force—the divine creative process—more than any other Armenian ever has in modern history.
