ONE NATION, ONE STATE, ONE WILL

I have never served in the U.S. Armed Forces...

I have never served in the U.S. Armed Forces, nor have I ever had the desire to serve, but I have always greatly admired the following motto used by their special forces: “Anything in life worth doing is worth overdoing. Moderation is for cowards.”

These words were not created by philosophers comfortably sitting behind desks. They come from people who live in extreme conditions—warriors whose missions require complete discipline and devotion. In such an environment, half-hearted actions lead to failure. This phrase pushes a soldier to step outside their comfort zone, ignore internal limitations, and overcome inner weaknesses.

However, this saying and principle are not limited to the battlefield. They are just as applicable in political struggle. Throughout history, every serious political struggle has been led not by indifferent majorities chasing luxury, but by devoted and ideological minorities who were willing to go further than others. They worked harder, sacrificed more time, and endured greater pressure.

While others seek comfort and strive to live a life full of pleasures, they seek a noble purpose and aim to build a glorious future. While others try to remain moderate and maintain balance, they strive for excellence and victory, because in this materialistic modern age, “moderation” is seen as obedience, cowardice, and slavery.

A devoted and history-shaping movement cannot be built on moderation. It requires people with iron and relentless will, who are ready to give more effort and make greater sacrifices than seems necessary, because when a nation’s fate depends on the success of their mission, then moderation can never be enough.

History is changed by those who refuse to live a fragmented, comfortable, and safe life and are willing to take unprecedented risks.
