Davit of Sassoun was born out of our people’s centuries-old suffering and struggle. He embodies not the will of one man, but of the entire Armenian nation—to never kneel before the foreigner, to never reconcile with defeat, and to always rise up to fight. Davit’s strike with the sword was as strong as his faith in the homeland.

Today, as our nation stands before new historical trials, the figure of David of Sassoun is not a mythical memory, but a real political guide. Just as Davit did, we too must break the chains of fear and despair, unite, and stand for the defense, rebirth, and freedom of our Fatherland.

The message of Davit of Sassoun is simple: the Armenian land is not for sale — it is either defended through a hard and bloody struggle, or it is lost forever. Today our nationalist struggle is the continuation of that very message. We must build a new Sassoun, where every decent Armenian nationalist in the political arena or on the battlefield, becomes a Davit through his will, sacrifice, and unshakable faith.
